Kate Middleton Wore Sarah Burton Wedding Dress

Royal watchers everywhere waiting with baited breath to see what Kate Middleton would wear, and she didn’t disappoint. The bride chose a dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. It was fitting considering McQueen, a Scottish designer who began his career in London, suffered a tragic suicide last year. Sarah Burton is McQueen’s head designer, and the dress differed from her signature looks below, in its traditionalness.

It had lace sleeves and lace applique over the bodice. It was made of white satin and a loooooong train at 8.8 feet long.
