Royal Wedding Week Special: Most Fashionable Princesses

Princesses.  There’s just something magical about them no matter what age you are, and I think every single one of us has probably had some kind of princess envy at some point in our lives.  Since the whole world is swept up in royal wedding fever this week, we thought we’d join them.  So without further ado I present to you our list of the most stylish princesses, both real and fictional.

Princess Grace of Monaco

This might be the most fairytale story of all:  gorgeous Hollywood actress meets European prince, falls in love, and lives happily ever after as a princess.  And in terms of style, it’s hard to match Grace Kelly, who is still a style icon nearly thirty years after her death.

Princess Ann, Roman Holiday
Is it possible to not want to be Princess Ann for a day, squired around Rome by Gregory Peck, after seeing this movie?  Not only did the role introduce the world to Audrey Hepburn (and gave her the classic short haircut soon copied by women everywhere), but it also introduced us to Audrey’s style that is still imitated to this day.

Princess Diana
She’s the most famous princess in the world (at least until her future daughter-in-law marries Prince William on Friday), and her eye for style ensured she was a trendsetter her whole life.   Plus, she got to dance with John Travolta at the White House.  Fabulous.

Cinderella
She’s the ultimate rags-to-riches tale, with the help of a fairy godmother and a glass slipper.  And who hasn’t wished for a fairy godmother of their own to create a gorgeous custom gown before some big event?  The handsome Prince Charming doesn’t hurt things either.

Princess Mary of Denmark

She’s not as well known as her counterparts on this list, but Australian Mary Donaldson captured the heart of Denmark’s Prince Frederik in 2000 and married him four years later.  Not only is she a stylish woman, but she maintains it as a mother of four – including a set of twins.  I would seriously love to own the dress she has on in the picture above.
