New York Fashion Week Runway Recap: Herve Leger

By Chevaun Jackson

Of all the houses, if you will, under the Max Azaria brand (BCBG, Max Azaria, Herve Leger), Herve Leger is the most fun and free that we’ve seen this season. It has the spirit of young and out-on-the-town for the night chic. Variety is definitely not short here from sleeves to hue to material and detail. Every type of young, free-spirited woman is represented here.

Mixing an arraying color palate with sparkling—quite literally—detail, attention to feminine form, and maintaining classy chic and distinct looks we applaud this collection of Herve Leger.

We love how this collection added embellishments to the bandage dress with chainlinks and hardware.

There were also some “half bandage” dresses. Bandage at the top, flowing at the bottom.

This dress has a futuristic feel which I like. As with some others of this collection, it doesn’t seem quite practical for everyday but it catches your eye and is aesthetically pleasing—sort of in a fine art kind of way.

This all white floor length dress is beautiful. I’m not sure how I feel about the V line of the straps, sort of feel it should be strapless, but the pattern, color and design are gorgeous. My favorite of the entire collection.
